April in Review

Hey everybody! Can you believe that April is practically over?! I graduate in basically 2 weeks! It's going by so fast and there are so many things that I need to do...Dx

Anyways here's a couple things that I did and accomplished this month!

• I went to the zoo for a Spanish Trip! We basically had the zoo all to ourselves! It was awesome, we even spent the night there by the gorilla exhibit :) It was a great experience!
• I got my senior pictures taken! YASS~! You can find out more about that here!
• Yes..I finally finished the Scorch Trials...after like 3 months! Ha!! And I'm like half way through the third book-Death Cure! This series is getting pretty interesting-but I've been told that it has a bad ending :(
• My mom and I found a prom dress!! and we got it at such a good price....guess how much?? Only $70! When I hear that some people pay like $200+ on their dresses I'm just shocked! They can be so expensive!
• I became one year natural on April 11th! I didn't really get to celebrate but I did mentally ;)
• I found a pretty cool web series named First-I'm really enjoying it even though I'm pretty late to watching it!
• I posted once a week on here for this month and I think I'll try to keep that up :D
• And finally I think I figured out the layout for this blog! I may experiment with it every now and then but for now I'm diggin it :)

Happy Earth Day everyone!

When it's nice outside I like to do my homework out doors. It can be really relaxing to hear all the birds chirping and communicating with one another and to feel the wind pass through the leaves of the trees - but I have to make sure my homework doesn't blow away!

While I was at school today I really wanted to ask some of my teachers if we could go outside to work on homework to celebrate Earth Day! but I never actually got the guts to get up and ask...

One of these days I want to do something special on Earth day like planting a tree or gardening (which I have a love/hate relationship with) of some sort!

Did you do anything special today to celebrate Earth day? Plant anything? Oh and did you take the "What animal are you" Quiz that Google was offering? Apparently I am a Pangolin! It says that I
am"The practical sort, you know just when to curl up into a ball to thwart predators"

A Bit About Me!

I've realized that I haven't actually quite introduced myself here on this blog of mine! So it's about time that I do that!

First things first! My name is Alexandrea Jean Owens. Allie is my nickname! Allie Jean Jean is a nickname that my oldest brother calls me.

Whenever I'm asked which name do I prefer I usually say something along the lines of "I really don't care as long as you don't call me Alex I am O.K!"

I'm the youngest of 4 children. I have two older brothers and one older sister!

I'm currently 17 years old but I'll be turning 18 on May 21st!

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and He gives me life! :D

I want to travel so many places! Here's a few of them: Japan, South Korea, China, Mexico, Spain, Ghana, the United Kingdom, Australia, etc...there's so many places I want to go! The world is too big to be stuck in one state!

There are so many languages that I want to learn! Here's a couple of them: Spanish (currently learning), Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French, etc

I am addicted to YouTube videos! but I do plan on making YouTube videos sometime this summer!

I love to read books! I've been trying to read books outside of the required reading in school, it's been a bit challenging but I've been pushing through!

I love anime and manga! My favorite anime of all time has got to be One Piece! It's just...epic!

I want to get a tattoo in the future but I have no idea what I want and where I want it!

I have no idea what I want to do with my life or what I'm going to major in in college...It's just so hard to pick one thing to spend the rest of your life doing!

Writing an English paper is like pure torture to me! I procrastinate on it to the last minute and then suffer trying to get it done on time...

Speaking of procrastination I tend to procrastinate sometimes BUT having a daily planner has really helped me to stay on top of things...that is until I have a super lazy day...then there's no stopping it! haha~!

I've never had a boyfriend before and to be honest I don't even know if I'm ready to have a boyfriend yet...I'm still trying to figure myself out at times! plus it seems like a lot of work to be in a relationship!

I created this blog because I love to read other peoples blogs and I wanted to know what it's like to be apart of the blogging community!

Here's a few of my favorite things!

• Giraffes - they're so beautiful and elegant to me! I've loved them every since I was little..
• Purple - Even though I don't think I look the best in purple clothing this is in fact my favorite color
• Cheese Burgers - I wish my favorite food was something more healthier but it is what it is....I love cheese burgers! Of course Red Robin is my favorite restaurant because they have the best burgers!!
• The number 4 - Four is just the perfect number in my opinion, plus I just like to write the number and I like how it looks! haha yeah a little weird but it's the truth!

Senior Pictures!!

 I guess I completed one of my April goals already! Yup that's right! I finally got my senior photos taken.

I didn't have a professional photographer like most people usually do. I was blessed to be able to have my mother take these photos with a good quality camera that we have at our house.

We didn't have a set date for when we were planning on taking these pictures, but we knew that we needed to get them taken soon so that they could be developed and mailed out to relatives.

I guess you could say that we took these photos on whim.

 Earlier on the day that we took these photos I was looking around at the people in my class and I was saying to myself "Wow...almost everyone has their senior photos taken except for me!!"

Then when I picked my mother up from work she said "Allie, we really need to take your senior photos! We should just take them today!"

And that's exactly what we did!

We came home and I frantically dug through my dresser drawers and through my closet to find some outfits that were "Senior Picture Worthy" and tried them on to see how they looked.

Thankfully it was a nice day with the sun shining everywhere and it wasn't too hot either!

Okay! So here are the top 8 photos! I'm still trying to narrow it down to 5-6 photos though...hehe!

April Goals!

Hey everyone! Happy April!!

Some of the blogs that enjoy reading include monthly goals that they'll set for themselves. Setting goals gives me a sense of achievement once I know that I've completed that goal. That's why I tend to make a lot of To-Do lists because whenever I set something out for myself to achieve and I actually accomplish it, that is a really satisfying thing for me :D

Here are a couple of goals that I have for myself to complete for the Month of April:

• Get your senior pictures taken
• Treat yourself or celebrate your 1 year natural birthday!
• Find a prom dress that isn't too pricey and actually looks really nice
• Read blogs more consistently like I used to
• Continue to blog at least once a week
• Figure out the layout of this blog
• Finally finish the Scorch Trials
